December update

Update

Just updating whats been going on since I got back from Hintertux. I did an interview for local paper, went to school for few days and then to SaasFee for two weeks training camp YEAH.

Since Saas Fee just plain school, grazy studying and waiting for snow…

It's one of those global warming years in south of Finland and there is no snow yet.

Talma SnowPark is blowing snow during the night so that we'd get to be on skis for a bit, but temperature hits +7 during the day and all the snow melts away.

I hope it gets gold, I want to ski in Talma and eat some of their great donuts. I heard that the park is going to be even more better this year.

Now I'm concentrating on  my exams at school and my next competition Val Thorens France. And waiting for Christmas, on my wish list is MW3.

Fall vacation

It felt so good to be on vacation. We stayed in hotel Rindererhof. Great food, but not so great service…

First few days skiing the park was not open yet, so we build our own jump and did some grazy stuff from it.

When medium park opened I was so excited. I felt the touch for my Kennedys was great. Did some basic stuff and had fun.

On our last day the pro park opened and I did some basic stuff  and switch 12 sufle and switch double with tail crab. I was stocked about that!

Overall tip was fun. We did some skateing and jumped on trampoline when we weren’t skiing and Ate well.

It’s fun to travel, but I can’t wait till Talma opens and I get some GOOD donuts!

IF3 Annecy 2011

My first time in IF3 was grazy fun. I hung out with my Faction team mates. Dudes you rock!

On first day we did some wakeboarding, never did that before. It was so fun. It was hard to get on board first, but after I got the technique, I think I did ok.

We had team barbeque, boot camp and fun photoshoot. Keep checkin’ the Faction page for updates.

The movies were so good, but I won’t tell anything about them since I got some ’feedback’ on my FB. So go see them, buy them etc. watch them!  And support the skiers. There are some grazy good movies out!

And I have to say that icecream is good in France and as we came into conclusion with the team that you are never so full that could’n fit any icecream for dessert.

5 Days to IF3

5 days to IF3

Since NZ I’ve been going to school, doing homework, playing PlayStation and training hard.

My coach set a 10 week session for swimjump training, it’s been fun. So that’s been on mondays. Tuesdays and thursdays pumping some weights. Wednesdays power training and trampoline and fridays trampoline…. Weekends playstation and dounuts. 

I miss snow so much that I made some snowing on my web page.

Now I strated count down to IF3, it’s 5 days. I’ll be attending with Faction team. I can’t wait to hung out with you guys, it’ll be a blast. Will be so sweet to see all the Faction 11/12 skis ALIVE!!!

Soon I'll get to meet the Penguin team also and see all Penguin 11/12 clothing. I can't wait!

NZ

What a trip to NZ!

What a trip…. 27h 45 min flight two changes. First 12 h accidently in business class, I couldn’t complain. Six hours of drive to Wanaka through the most amazing views. The first morning I woke up to a clear blue sky, it felt so good to put on my boots and get on the snow.

I love SnowPark NZ

Visiting NZ was so good. I loved the SnowPark and the sun was shining most of the trip. We got few days of snowstorm and visited Cinema Paradiso. Because of the snowstorm the Slopestyle was moved and we had extend our visit. Luckyly we were able to do that and I got to attend the Slopestyle. I was pretty happy with my run since it was the first comp. For the season and first time on the snow since may, but it wasn’t enough for the finals...  Got to land those dubs.

It was so amazing to ski in SnowPark, what a paradize to be in and start the season 2012. My skis felt so good! And to be on the snow after 2,5 months of summer was a blast.

Dolphins and earthquake

We stayed two nights in Christchurch before leaving back to Finland and visited a small seaport called Akaroa. What a place to see. We took a boat drive to Pasific and saw some dolphins, seals and penguins.

On our first night in Christchurch ther was a earthquake 4,3 magnitude and on morning we we leaving 3,9 magnitude. I feel bad for the people in Christchuch, there has been lots earthquakes and the center of Christchurch is in bad shape.

Thank God we were robbed!

On our third day in Wanaka somebody broke into our resort appartment while we were hot tubbing and visiting our friends , and stole our wallets, cash and credit cards…. Later the police recovered everything else except the cash.

Because of our robbery  we didn’t have to pay on my skipag at the airport, othervise it would have cost 960,-NZdollar to take back my skis. From Finland to NZ the fee was 80€. What’s up with that????

Flight leaves tomorrow to NZ... 28h flight to Christchurch.

12 days in Kuortane Sports Confirmation Camp.

12 days without seeing my skis and Playstation … I thought it would be tuff.

In fact I had tons of fun.

We did some canooing, wall climbing, Spinning with girls… ,  gym, tennis, football, javelin throw etc.

The weather was variable, everything except snow. The best part were the people, we were surrounded by very positive and sunny athmosphere. AND I got lot’s of  great new friends.

Confirmation was ok and afterwards we had festive lunch with my closest family.

Now I’m strating to get raedy for NZ. It’ll be a blast, I can’t wait!
