TNF Whistler

Here is update for TNF Whistler.


I left to Whistler on Saturday 11th. So stocked, my first time in Whistler. Last spring I had invitation for WSI but because ACL operation I couldn't go.


Our first flight change was in Frankfurt, next in Toronto. Flight was late and we missed our flight from Toronto to Vancouver and ended up staying extra night in Vancouver because last bus to Whistler had left. Because of that I had one of best burgers ever! 

In Whistler was waiting some pow and good competition course with over 80 riders mainly from US and Canada.
I advanced to finals winning my heat. I was happy with my two pretty solid runs and still had my final winning run in my back pocket. 


On day of finals the weather was looking good in the morning but fog started to set in around bottom jumps making the landings really hard to see. 
Due to weather delays, each rider was only allowed one run.
 Decision was made after everyone but last competitor had made they first run.


My final result was 9th. I'm really happy with my jumps and the level of confidence. 
Of course disappointment of not being able to better my first run was there but being in Whistler rubbed it of really fast. :)


First comp. after ACL, I'm happy!


Now I'm in Whistler till saturday and then I'm off to Val Thorens for first competition of SFR Tour.

BACK IN DA GAME!

I’ve been sking again. It feels so good. I’m still bit careful with big jumps but with rails and jibbing 

I haven’t been holding back.

Guess what...?

I'm on skis again!!!! STOCKED!!!

I was supposed to write this blog week ago but snow came to Ruka... :D

Still chilling and training in Kuusamo. It’s been 6 months since my ACL operation and I just went for the last checkup and tests. The results were really good and funny thing was that my operated knee was doing better in some tests than the other one. 

We had national team tests and they also went really well, jumping on trampoline was the only tuff thing, the other knee is still functioning a bit differently.

Other than that I’ve been training a bit less muscle and more cardio to improve my oxygen take. 

School is really good. I’m filming episodes: ’When teacher isn’t around’, you can find the first episode on my instagram: markusfohr.

Interview

On tuesday I had interview with Keski-Uusimaa newspaper about slopestyle and my goals. It sunny day and fun interview. In the picture is me and next season Soma. :) I can't wait to SKI!!!!
